Mons Royale

Sometime back in the early noughts a storm chasing Kiwi ski bum living out of a ski bag pondered a problem: His gear wasn’t cutting it for both epic mountain missions and post-shred hangs at the bar. Woolly base layers were a snooze-fest, and his cool cotton graphic tees left him shivering faster than he could say “don’t eat yellow snow”.

Concerned about oil-based synthetics filling landfills and destroying our planet, this ski bum knew there must be something more suited to his values and lifestyle. In 2009 from Wānaka, New Zealand – a simple idea struck. Give Merino Wool some style so it can be worn on and off the mountain.

And so, Mons Royale was born.
